Careers in 360: Transforming Career Exploration in Mid and North Wales

Careers in 360 base

The Mid Wales Regional Skills Partnership is proud to be a pioneer partner in Careers in 360, an innovative platform designed to revolutionise career exploration. Developed in collaboration with One Step North and key public sector organisations, including universities, colleges, and schools across Wales, this cutting-edge tool offers immersive 360-degree virtual experiences that bring the world of work to life.

A New Way to Explore Careers

Careers in 360 is transforming traditional careers guidance by allowing users to step into real workplaces, experience job roles firsthand, and gain insight into different industries—all from their screens. Whether exploring a construction site, a digital design studio, or a healthcare setting, individuals can immerse themselves in various work environments, fostering a deeper understanding of career options and industry expectations.

Through interactive elements such as virtual employer engagement and work experience opportunities, Careers in 360 empowers users to take control of their career journey. By providing direct insight into daily tasks, required skills, and real workplace settings, this platform supports individuals in making informed decisions about their future.

Collaboration for Regional Skills Development

As Regional Skills Partnerships, we are committed to ensuring that people in Mid and North Wales have access to high-quality careers guidance aligned with employer needs and economic growth opportunities. The Mid Wales Regional Skills Partnership, as a pioneer partner, plays a key role in shaping the platform, while the North Wales Regional Skills Partnership contributes as an Innovation Champion. By supporting Careers in 360, we are helping young people and job seekers across our region access up-to-date, engaging careers information that connects them with real employers and industry insights.

Currently in its beta testing phase, Careers in 360 is actively gathering feedback from pioneer partners to refine and enhance the platform. The official launch is scheduled for May 2025, with a series of in-person launch events across Wales allowing stakeholders to experience the platform firsthand.

Part of a Larger Careers Initiative

Careers in 360 will also play a key role in Careers World Wales, a virtual careers fair where businesses and strategic partners will showcase their industries and opportunities. This initiative provides even more ways for learners to interact with employers, gain valuable career insights, and explore future pathways.

We are excited to see Careers in 360 develop into a vital resource for career exploration and skills development across Mid Wales. Stay tuned for updates as we continue working with our partners to enhance career exploration in the region!
