Employer Cluster Groups

Our Employer Cluster Groups are the beating heart of skills development in Mid Wales. These employer-led forums are where industry insight meets action - driving forward the skills agenda to ensure our workforce is ready for the future.

What Are Cluster Groups?

Cluster Groups are represented by sector-specific employers and industry leaders. They meet 3-4 times a year in person throughout the region to:

  • Share insights on current workforce challenges
  • Shape training and skills provision
  • Influence regional and national policy
  • Collaborate on recruitment, retention, and upskilling strategies

Our Priority Sectors

  • Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering
  • Agriculture
  • Construction
  • Digital
  • Energy
  • Food and Drink
  • Health and Social Care
  • Public Sector
  • Tourism and Leisure

Support Clusters

In addition to our business clusters, we have a Provider Cluster. This group brings together education and training providers to offer insights into both work-based and classroom-based learning across the region.

It plays a strategic role in shaping current and future provision, aligning with Welsh Government priorities, LMI, and feedback from our industry clusters.

Why Get Involved?

By joining a Cluster Group, your business can:

  • Influence the future of skills in your sector
  • Ensure training provision meets your needs
  • Get involved with career visits to regional secondary schools (Construction & Manufacturing & Engineering)
  • Help shape a resilient, future-ready workforce in Mid Wales
  • Network with like-minded employers and stakeholders

The Chairs of each Cluster Group sit on the Mid Wales RSP Board, ensuring your voice is heard at the highest level and feeds directly into the Growing Mid Wales governance structure.
